The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Eugene Stein
Eugene L. Stein, 89, Spencerville, passed away in his sleep May 15, 2014, at Miller House, Celina.
He was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Fort Recovery, to the late Ernest and Mary (Stolz) Stein. His wife, Beulah Jeanne Stein, is deceased.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Bill) Gaffney, Euless, Texas, and Robin of Van Wert; a son, Michael (Faye) Stein, Spencerville; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Mike) Redford, St. Louis, Mo., and Michelle (Rev. Nick) Billardello, Fort Worth, Texas; a great-grandson, Samuel Paul Redford; and brothers, Paul (Pauline) Stein, Mendon, Kenny (Janet) Stein, Mendon, and Dale (Helen) Stein, San Antonio, Texas.
Also deceased is a son, Charles Stein; brothers, Jerome Stein, Wilber Stein and Gerald Stein; and a sister, Phyllis Rasawuhr.
He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army in Germany, and retired from General Motors as a foreman. He was a former partner in the Deerfield Golf Course, Rockford. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina.
He donated his body to the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.
A memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Celina, the Revs. Jeff Gramza and Nick Billardello officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery at a later date.
