The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Florience Dicke
Florience "Dick" R. Dicke, 93, formerly of rural St. Marys, died at 4:05 p.m. May 21, 2014, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.
He was born May 21, 1921, in Mercer County, to Florience and Anna Moeller Dicke Sr. He first married Lorine Duncan, who preceded him in death. He later married Gertrude "Trudy" Hibbs, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael Dicke, St. Marys, Larry (Jennifer) Dicke, New Knoxville, and Ray Dicke, St. Marys; a daughter, Mary Ann Dicke, Milwaukee, Wis.; six grandchildren, Chad Dicke, Jessica Henkaline, Michelle Hughes, Abigail Kuck, Melissa Ekern and Chet Dicke; three stepgrandchildren, Quinton Johansen, John Johansen and Eric Johansen; numerous great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Silvers, St. Marys.
Also deceased are a son, Rudolph Dicke; four brothers, Sylvanus Dicke, Donald Dicke, Lee Vern Dicke and Lester Dicke; and two sisters, Edna Hudson and Mary Margaret Dicke.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, he served his country during World War II.
He was a life-long farmer in Noble Township, Auglaize County. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and VFW Post 9289, both in St. Marys.
Rites are 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Burial with graveside military honors will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 9:30–11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
