The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jack Kaiser
Jack L. Kaiser, 67, Burkettsville, died July 13, 2014, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born July 17, 1946, in Celina, to Bernard and Mary Barga Kaiser. On July 11, 1989, he married Mary Stover in Greenville, and she survives in Burkettsville.
Also surviving are a daughter, Brenda (Joseph) Osterholt, Ansonia; a brother, Jesse (Donna) Kaiser, Burkettsville; two sisters, Janice Borgerding and Jill (Bill) Rammel, all of St. Henry; in-laws, Lawrence (Linda) Stover, Dayton, Edna McCoy and Carrie Hall, both of Versailles, and Kim (Roy) Dohme, Ansonia; grandchildren, Susan and Jesse Heckney, Ashley and Robert Austerman, Matthew and Aireca Hoggatt, Dawson Richards, Stacee Osterholt and Dustin Osterholt; and great-grandchildren, Jayden, Ayden, Lainee, Logan and Lucas Jack Hackney, Mylie Austerman and Rayna Hoggatt.
Deceased are in-laws, Joseph Borgerding, Charles Hall, Robert Stover, John Stover and Elizabeth Varnell.
He was a co-owner of B.J. Kaiser Trucking Inc., Burkettsville. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and its Holy Name Society, Fort Recovery American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Versailles, Loyal Order of the Moose, Greenville, and the U.S. Army National Guard, Greenville.
Funeral Mass is 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Paul Wohlwend officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
