The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marcille Smith
Marcille M. Smith, 93, Celina, died July 31, 2014, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born April 4, 1921, in Bradford, to Earl Edward and Roie Alma Gaskill Vorhees. On March 11, 1939, she married Jacob B. Smith, and he died Dec. 31, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy (Richard) Luebrecht, Wapakoneta, and Joyce Howell, Celina; a brother-in-law, Gene Edward (Lora) Smith, Ada; a sister-in-law, Lucille Smith, Coldwater; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a brother, Paul Vorhees; two sisters, Margaret Ellis and Avanell Baker; a brother-in-law, Roger A. Smith; three sisters-in-law, Hildred Betz, Mary Ashman and Alice Smalley; and a nephew, Hugh Thomas, who was raised by the family.
She retired from the former Empire Commissary and had worked at the former Barr's 5 & 10, both of Celina. She had attended grade school in Montezuma and Celina High School. She enjoyed reading cookbooks for new ideas, trying new recipes and flower gardening.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
