The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Randy Tomberlin
Randy A. Tomberlin 59, St. Marys, died suddenly at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 4, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born June 25, 1955, in St. Marys, to the late Don Tomberlin and Susan Jane Stephenson Tomberlin, who survives in St. Marys. On March 1, 1982, he married Theresa "Terri" Patterson, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Amy Eshleman (Gregg) Schmidt, St. Marys; two sons: Ty (Maggie) Tomberlin, St. Marys, and Chance Tomberlin, St. Marys; five grandchildren, Gage Schmidt, Carter Schmidt, Jillian Tomberlin, Brody Tomberlin and Deacon Tomberlin; one brother, Rick Tomberlin, Decatur, Texas; and a niece, Precious Rowe, Spencerville.
He was a 1973 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired as a captain of the City of St. Marys Fire Department, where he was a firefighter and paramedic. Following his retirement, he worked as a paramedic at JTDMH Patient Transport Service, where he provided critical care to patients.
The love of Randy's life was his grandchildren and family. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was a member of the Barbarians Motorcycle Club.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, West Chapel, St. Marys, Pastor John Mobley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
