The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Clayton Prater
Clayton Prater, 59, Celina, died 6:53 a.m. Aug. 12, 2014, at Coldwater Community Hospital.
He was born Jan. 6, 1955, in Floyd County, Ky., to Douglas and Genevene Chaffins Prater, who are deceased. On June 19, 1981, he married Cynthia Krugh, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Renee Schwarck, St. Marys, Shannon Cordray, Coldwater, and Lonnie (Lorra) Prater, Rossburg; seven grandchildren, Jordan Schwarck, Desiree Schwarck, Brittany Schwarck, Preston Prater, Cameron Prater, Brianna Prater and Zach Cordray; a great-grandson, Landon Schwarck; his mother-in-law, Judy Krugh, Rockford; his dog, Bear; and nine siblings, Felsie Cassidy, Sidney, Janice Foos, Delphos, Mildred (James) Rupert, Spencerville, Quinton (Susie) Prater, Lima, Lucrida (Donnie) McCormick, St. Marys, Patricia (David) Kohlhorst, St. Marys, Louvonda (Ron) Slone, St. Marys, Thelma (Dennis) Fisher, St. Marys and Lydia (Gary) Pennington, Sidney.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a welder and had worked at the Haulette Corp. for many years. He loved watching basketball and playing his guitar. He was a fan of MOPAR.
Funeral rites are 1 p.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, West Chapel, St. Marys, Brother Gary Mosley, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
