The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Iva Hagan
Iva Waunita "Nita" Hagan 89, Holgate, died Sept. 29, 2014, while visiting her sister in Michigan.
She was born Aug. 16, 1925, on the family farm in Barryton, Mich., to Carl and Linda Murray Gibbs. She was married to John Hagan, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Carl W. (Linda) Youmans, St. Marys; a daughter, Nita Jo (Frank) Ordway, Holgate; and a stepson, Jack (Sandy) Hagan, Birch Run, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Myers and Ann Garner, both of Saginaw, Mich.; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Also deceased are four brothers, Bob, Nelson, Friend and Pete Armstrong.
She spent many years as an assistant health care provider. She dearly loved camping and fishing, and was an excellent deer hunter. She also loved barbecues with her enormous family.
Services are 4 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Holgate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church building fund.
