The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories. It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes. Plans for more fields are unlikely due to higher building costs, other factors

Solar fields have sprung up in recent years in Mercer County, cutting energy bills and fossil fuel use. However, despite the fields' relative success, plans for additional solar projects are not so sunny.
CELINA - Saturday evening was a swimming showcase for Celina on Senior Night.
The number-heavy WaterDogs swept the boys' and girls' team titles in a tri-meet with Coldwater and St. Marys at the Auglaize/Mercer County Family YMCA. MARIA STEIN - Marion Local scored 26 unanswered points spanning the first and second halves to dig itself out of a 13-point hole and then held on for a 54-48 victory over St. Marys in non-league girls action Saturday at the Hangar.
MINSTER - Minster started 2015 with a bang as it dominated Celina 72-31 in a battle of Grand Lake area girls basketball teams Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Gymnasium.
Scorching hot shooting came in handy for Celina as the Bulldogs snapped back from Tuesday's loss to St. Henry and beat Toledo Central Catholic 71-67 Saturday night at the Fieldhouse.
