The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Todd Fickert
Todd M. Fickert, 44, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 4:56 PM at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Todd was born on November 13, 1970 in Decatur, Indiana to Richard "Dick" and Virginia "Gini" (Hofmann) Fickert. Both survive in Rockford.
He graduated from Parkway and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Schumm. After graduation, he went to Bowling Green State University. Todd then transferred to Ohio State University. He was a Customer Service Representative for Verizon Communications.
He was an avid fan of the Buckeyes as well as NASCAR's Sprint Cup racing. Todd enjoyed the music of Randy Travis and was a singer himself. He performed the National Anthem a number of times while in school at Parkway.
Surviving, besides his parents, is 1 brother: Ron (Sherry) Fickert of Houston, Ohio. Also surviving are aunts and uncles: Diane & Alan Schott, Willshire and Karen & Rob Egley, Decatur, Indiana. 3 nephews: Lee (Jessica) Jury, Piqua, Ohio; Tyler Fickert, Sidney, Ohio; and Dustin Fickert, Akron, Ohio survive. 1 great-nephew and 3 great-nieces also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home with Pastor Chip Steffy at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio. They may also visit the family, one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be directed to the Ohio State University Wexner Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
