The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lemoine Overholser
H. Lemoine Overholser, age 82, a resident of Portland, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Jay County Hospital in Portland.
Lemoine was born on October 10, 1932, in Huntington, Indiana, the son of Samuel and Rocelia (McLaughlin) Overholser. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Le-moine retired from AGCO New Idea after 47 years of service. He attended the Noble Congregational Christian Church. Other memberships include the Jay County Hospital Prime Time, Arch Bridge Kroozers, Jay County Historical Society, Museum of the Soldier, Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association, Oldsmobile Club of America, Vintage Motorbike Club and the Hoosier Rod and Custom Nationals. Lemoine married Ruby Hammers on August 6, 1955.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Ruby Overholser – Portland, Indiana, 1 son: Jeffrey Overholser (wife Lorie) – Portland, Indiana, 1 daughter: Sherry Overholser – Kokomo, Indiana, 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Overholser.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. The American Legion Post 211 of Portland will conduct military graveside rites.
Memorials may be directed towards the Jay County Cancer Society, State of the Heart Hospice, Noble Congregational Church or the Jay County Heart Fund.
