Virginia Stoepfel
Virginia R. Stoepfel, age 85, known to her family and friends as "Dollie", died September 26th. Dollie passed away peacefully at her Celina residence, and is now with her Heavenly Father.
Born on August 14, 1930 in Lamar, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late David & Mary Schneider.
Preceding her in death was her loving daughter, Lynn Stoepfel, who died June 17, 1971. Five siblings: Robert, Emmanuel and Harry Schneider, Alma Mauch, and Gladys "Rosie" Martin, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a sister, Frieda Reifschneider of Lamar, Colorado and a special niece, Patty Martin of Hagerstown, Maryland, who Dollie helped raise. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A hard-working woman, Dollie at times held down three jobs, but still found time for relaxing. She had worked in the Layaway Department at the Celina Jamesway Department Store and then Hart's Family Center, and retired from the Celina Big Bear Supermarket.
In her younger days, Dollie enjoyed line dancing, eating out, and going to garage sales and movies with her friends. She was a member of the Celina Church of the Nazarene. Dollie loved animals, and called her two cats, "Sissy" and "Calli", her best friends.
Calling Hours will be held at the Celina Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service to begin at 5:00. Pastor Chris Riffle will officiate. Burial will take place at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Memorial Contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
Arrangements are being handled by W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
