The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Betty Coombs
Betty Louise (Coats) Joseph Coombs, 85, of Rockford, Ohio, formerly of Celina, died at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born August 5, 1930, to Howard Franklin and Mildred Leona (Roberts) Coats in Mercer County, Ohio. She was married to Thomas Richard Coombs on October 18, 1993, and he preceded in death on March 1, 2002.
She was a homemaker, and also had worked at Tuway Products in Rockford, Huffy's Bicycle Manufacturing in Celina, Ohio, and later at the Mercer County Home, where she retired.
She lived all her life in Mercer County, Ohio; she was a life member of the Celina VFW Auxiliary, Post #5713; Celina American Legion Auxiliary Post #210; Women's Auxiliary to the Military Order of the Cooties Post #0006; and the Fraternal Order of Eagles--Grand Lake Post #1291.
Surviving are 2 children: a son, Terry Lee (Mary Jo) Joseph, Rockford and a daughter, Gloria Joseph, Decatur, Indiana. Four brothers survive: Howard (Joan) Coates, Sebring, Florida; Dallas Coats, Celina, Ohio; Paul (Vivian) Coats, Celina, Ohio; and James J. (Bonnie) Coats, Celina, Ohio. Also surviving is one sister: Barbara (Bill) Doty, Wapakoneta, Ohio. Eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive as well. One sister-in-law, Dorothy Coats survives in Texas.
Deceased are 2 brothers, Irvin Coats and Don Coats and 1 sister, Joyce Ward.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday December 10, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Celebrant Casey Nuttle officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. up until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Friends Chapel Cemetery, Tama, Ohio.
