The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Fred Hein
Fred 'Fritz' Hein, age 90, of Chickasaw, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born November 13, 1925 in Chickasaw to the late Henry & Clara (Ronnebaum) Hein. On April 18, 1951 he married Kathleen 'Kay' (Schenking) Hein and she died March 7, 1993. Then on August 18, 1995 he married Clara Jean (Bruggeman) Kremer-Hein and she survives in Chickasaw.
He is also survived by four sons: Merle & Connie Hein of Coldwater Dale & Jane Hein, Wayne & Barb Hein and Jay & Norma Hein all of Chickasaw; a daughter in law Jackie Hein of Celina; stepsons Tom & Julie Kremer of Chickasaw, Dan & Eydie Kremer of St. Henry and Rick & Julia Kremer of St. Joe; 25 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; in laws: Mildred Steinke of Tipp City, Richard Bellert of Minnesota, Mary Ellen Niekamp of St. Henry, Melvin & Betty Bruggeman of McCartyville, Kathy Bruggeman of Las Vegas, NV, Robert & Carol Bruggeman of Coldwater, Jerry Brandewie of North Star, Melvin & Ann Kremer of St. Henry, Bernice & Robert Goettemoeller of FL, Roger & Barb Kremer of Carthagena, Margie & Stan Lefeld of Coldwater, Denis & Susan Kremer of Troy, Gary & Helen Kremer of Maria Stein and Roy & Jane Kremer of Coldwater.
He is preceded in death by a son Dean Hein; a stepson Larry and his wife, Kelly Kremer; one grandchild; siblings: Leona & Wilfred Steinlage, Wilma & Elmer Bergman, Leon & Rosa Hein and Marian & Julius Siefring and in laws: Betty Bellert, Geraldine & Tony Lange, James Steinke, Floyd Niekamp, Lilly Mae Klenke-Mock, Don Klenke, Ray Mock, Dennis Bruggeman and Joan Brandewie.
He was a member of Precious Blood Church in Chickasaw, the men's sodality of the church, Minster Eagles and a social member of the Chickasaw V.F.W.
Fritz was always a farmer, he served on the MMI board for many years. He enjoyed dancing, following the Cincinnati Reds, playing and umpiring softball and vacationing. Fritz was one of the original developers of the Chickasaw Park ball diamond.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Precious Blood Church, Chickasaw. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm on Friday and after 9 to 10 am on Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
