The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Billy Gibson
Billy W. Gibson, 74, of Saint Marys, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1942, in Saint Marys, the son of William and Rosemary (Whitehead) Gibson. He married Brenda "Ben" Buschur on February 7, 1970, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, Ohio, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his two sons: Jason (Angie) Gibson of Saint Marys; Cobey (Deanna) Gibson of Hilliard. He is survived by four grandchildren: Jaden Gibson; Chloe Gibson; Carly Gibson and Beau Gibson. He is survived by a sister, Melody (Bill) Grunden of Saint Marys; by a sister-in-law, Nancy Gibson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Charlie (Jan) Alt, Coldwater, Ohio; Richard (Deb) Hunt, Sidney, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by his siblings: John "Hoot" (Mary) Gibson; Paul "Bud" Gibson; Sharon Rose Gibson; brother-in-law Donald Buschur.
Billy retired from the Saint Marys Foundry. He loved Legos and putting models together, working around the yard and watching the OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. A close family friend, Ron Powell, will speak at the funeral. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to either Grand Lake Hospice or to his grandchildren's college fund.
