The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Glen Houdeshell
Glen D. Houdeshell, age 84, of Celina, passed away at his residence on Monday, February 20, 2017.
He was born October 17, 1932 in Twin Township, Darke County, to the late Oscar & Bessie Timmerman Houdeshell. Glen married Billie Jean (Carrier) Potter on September 2, 1976, and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2003.
Surviving are his Children: David Houdeshell of Greenville, Susan (Steve) Burke of Arcanum, Tom Houdeshell (Barb Lyerly) of Greenville, Scott Houdeshell of Dayton, and Lori (Chris) Knick of Arcanum, numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren, Step-Children: Rick (Deb) Potter, Barb Potter, and Sherrill (Jack) Blakeman, all of Eaton, a Sister, Jeanie Cox, many Nieces & Nephews, and special friends and neighbors: Mark, Terri, and Chico.
Preceding him in death were two Brothers & a Sister: Wilford & Donovan Houdeshell, and Gwen Sharp.
A very Christian man, Glen was baptized in the Castine Church of the Brethren. He was a 1951 graduate of Arcanum High School. Glen served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and was a Golden Gloves wrestler in the Marines. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Glen worked at the Greenville Concrete Blockyard, which became known as Wayne Builders Supply. He and his wife Billie later owned and operated the St. Marys Blockyard. An accomplished canoeist, Glen owned the Tecumseh Custom Canoe & Paddle Co., building wood strip canoes. He was a greeter at the Celina Walmart for five years.
An avid outdoorsman, Glen loved fishing, and both vegetable and flower gardening. He also enjoyed woodworking, making a variety of items for friends and family.
Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 7:00. Pastor Jon Exman will officiate. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, at Ithaca Cemetery near Arcanum, with Military Rites following.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County or Community Health Professionals Hospice.
