The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Harvey Whitaker
Harvey Whitaker, 86, St. Marys, Ohio, died March 3, 2017, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Living Community, St. Marys, Ohio.
He was born November 11, 1930, in Watts, CA, to the late Sherman and Clara (Keen) Whitaker. On June 20, 1952, he married Darlene (Micheal) Whitaker, who died March 26, 1999.
Surviving are his four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his son, Harvey Micheal Whitaker; three brothers, Thomas, Charles and Robert Whitaker; a sister, Crystal Whitaker; and a great grandchild.
Harvey served in the Air Force during the Korean War and later became a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.
Harvey enjoyed playing the piano and shared his talent with residents at local nursing homes since 2004.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 10:00 am-10:45 am Tuesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
