The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Charles Froning
Charles J. Froning, age 85, of St. Henry, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 12, 1931, in Coldwater, to the late Charles A. & Erma (Luken) Froning. On April 23, 1955, he married Dolores "Lori" (Muhlenkamp), who survives in St. Henry.
He is also survived by five sons, Scott & Nancy Froning of St. Henry, Joe & Denise Froning of Burkettsville, Jim & Nancy Froning of Troy, Brian & Jane Froning of St. Henry, Bruce & Buffy Froning of Coldwater, one daughter, Angie & Larry Kaiser of Versailles, nineteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, siblings, Audrey & Joe Amato and Carole Carr, both of Coldwater and in-laws, Ralph Klenke of St. Henry, Lucy & Don Beckstedt of Celina, Carol & Dale Laux of Celina, Dale Muhlenkamp of California, Roger & Donna Muhlenkamp of Arizona, Ron & Carol Muhlenkamp, Sally Muhlenkamp, Sue Muhlenkamp, Joan Muhlenkamp, all of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Denise and Diane, a sister, Mary Klenke and in-laws, Jean & Ivo Bruns, Robert Muhlenkamp, Dorothy & Lavern Brockman, Richard Muhlenkamp, Mark Muhlenkamp, and Gayle Muhlenkamp.
He retired from Wolff's Tire, Celina and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry American Legion, Coldwater VFW and Ohio Progressive Sportsman Club.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial, with military rites, will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
