The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Berniece Bott
Berniece K. Bott, 100, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Parkview Hospital.
Born June 6, 1916 in Willshire, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Myrtle (Leistner) Kuhn. She married Edward A. Bott on May 10, 1941.
She was a homemaker, a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, a member of its Rosary Sodality, and a member of the Widows of Prayer.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary K. (Raymond) Denault and Rose Ann Bott and son Lawrence E. Bott; granddaughters Laura (Zac) Peatman, Michele Denault, Simone (David) Murray, Suzanne (Russell) King, Monique (Robert) Estes, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her sisters: Naomi Leininger, Helen Barker, Mary Ellen Hileman, Ruth Ross and brothers: Leroy Kuhn, Carl Kuhn, and Herman Kuhn.
Mass of Christian Burial is 2:00 pm Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Jack Overmyer will officiate.
Visitation also from 2 to 8 pm Friday, April 28, 2017, C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary vigil at 3:30 pm. Burial at Catholic Cemetery.
