The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marcene Buehler
Marcene M. Buehler, 90, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on September 7, 2017, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born September 2, 1927, in St. Peter, OH, to the late Leo and Ulitta (Fischer) Kahlig. On September 1, 1951, she married Edward Buehler, who died August 26, 2013.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen (Bob) Schroer of Fort Recovery, OH; a son, Dale Buehler of Fort Recovery, OH; a sister, Carma (Dennis) Diller of Coldwater, OH; her grandchildren, Angie (Rob) Muhlenkamp and Gina (Patrick) Spears; great grandsons, Drew, Cole, Keegan, Ian and Shawn; and in-law, Mary Thobe of St. Henry, OH.
Preceding her in death was her infant brother, Ernie Kahlig, and in-laws, Clarence & Rose Buehler, Walter & Alvina Buehler, Evelyn & Ben Bruening, Dorothy & Alvin Raterman, Virginia & Bob Stupp, Clarence & Clarine Liette, Cyril & Phyllis Evers and Werner Thobe.
She was previously employed at the former Huffy Corp. Celina, Ohio and was a cook for Fort Recovery Schools. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, Ohio, where she was born, baptized and was married. She is also a member of the church's Christians Mothers Sodality and was a choir member for many years. She loved music, going on an occasional casino trip, camping and spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, Ohio, with Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, St. Peter, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-5:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-9:45 am Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
