The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Seas
Richard P. Seas, 88, of St. Marys, OH died 5:42 a.m. Friday February 16, 2018 at Otterbein-St. Marys.
He was born September 16, 1929 in Bradford, OH to Leslie and Marcella (Mc Kinney) Seas. On June 27, 1953 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua, OH he married Rama J. Andrew, who died May 18, 2006.
Survivors include: daughter Paula (Dan) Covey-Tilton of Port Charlotte, FL; son Richard (Lorna) Seas of West Union, OH; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Valerie) Seas of Piqua, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Leslie and Marcella Seas; wife Rama Seas; daughter Jennifer Seas; daughter Teresa Blevins; an infant brother.
He was a graduate of Piqua Catholic High School (Class of 1948). A veteran of the United States Army, he served as a sergeant during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for Beatrice Foods Corp. in New Bremen for 32 years. He then worked as a clerk for St. Marys Hardware for many years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus (4th degree), American Legion Post #323 and VFW Post #9289.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church 511 E. Spring Street in St. Marys, with the Rev. Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial, with full graveside military rites, will follow at the Miami Memorial Park Cemetery in Covington, OH.
Visitation 9:00-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Western Ohio Education Foundation (in honor of Jennifer Seas).
