The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Michael Knapke
Michael J. Knapke, 66, of Marietta, OH passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 7, 1951 in Coldwater, OH to Louis and Leona Stukenborg Knapke.
Mike's passions were his grandsons and golf. May he hit them long and straight.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jean Dodd Knapke, whom he married on January 29, 1972; a daughter, Michelle Cacciotti (Jason); four grandsons, Austin, Cameron, Drew and Cade Cacciotti; his mother, Leona Knapke; mother-in-law, Ruth Dodd; eight siblings, Dale (Mary), Diane (Tom), Dave, Ken (Joan), Don (Cathy), Cindy (Ed), Barb, Lois (Terry) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Knapke; father-in-law, Don Dodd and a sister-in-law, Kathy.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will be observed with no services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
