The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

William Zink
William D. "Bill" Zink, 64, Saint Marys, died suddenly at 9:40 A.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born January 17, 1954, in Saint Marys, the son of William and Hope (Feth) Zink.
He is survived by his two sons: B.J. (Kristie Morsher) Zink of Chicago; Dan (Jennifer) Zink of Ft. Myers, Florida; by his brother, Bob (Judy) Zink of Saint Marys; by his sister, Marla (Todd) Keeran of Bowling Green, Ohio; by his former wife, Sue Long (Bill) Cheslock, of Saint Marys; by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Karen Sue Zink.
Bill was a 1972 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He earned his AA from Ferris State University and his BA from the University of Findlay. He was the retired Marketing Manager of the Minster Machine Company, where he worked for 36 years. He was also the owner of Studio 11 Graphics.
Bill was active in Scouting during his youth and earned the Eagle Scout Award. He grew up attending the Saint Marys Presbyterian Church and later joined Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys, where he was very active. He had served his church communities as an Elder, Deacon, Treasurer, and Trustee.
He liked to golf, work crossword puzzles, and produce art. He liked to go turtle trapping and he looked forward to the yearly gathering with friends at the Indy 500. He was very social and had many, many friends at the VFW, Eagles Lodge and American Legion in Saint Marys. He loved visiting Chicago and was a huge fan of the Cubs.
Bill's favorite number was "11", so funeral rites will be held 11:11 A.M. Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, Saint Marys. The Reverend Doug Williamson and the Reverend Keith Kivlin, will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Sunday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to a charity of your choice.
