The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Fred Borger
Fred Urban Borger, age 63, of rural St. Henry, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, after having battled cancer since early this year.
He was born September 18, 1954, to the late Carl Borger & Ethel (Huelskamp) Borger, who survives him.
Fred is also survived by brothers: Dale (Vivian) Borger, Gary Borger (friend Anna Stein), Charles (Julie) Borger, John Borger, and sisters: Beverly (Doug) Thobe, Mary (Greg) Petkoff, Brenda (Romie) Schwieterman, Jean Borger (friend Michael Erik), a brother in-law Kevin Wyatt, and his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Wyatt.
Fred was a graduate of St. Henry High School, Class of 1972. Fred was a lifelong farmer and a gifted mechanic. He worked on and repaired farm equipment, large trucks and other vehicles. Fred worked at the St. Henry Tile Co. For 45 years until his health prohibited him from doing so.
He was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea. Fred was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was always willing to offer help to anyone; he will be missed very much.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea, with Msgr. Marvin Borger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Philothea.
Friends may call from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
In Fred's memory, memorials may be made towards a scholarship in auto/diesel mechanics.
