The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Helen Hoying
Helen C. Hoying, age 68, of Union City, died Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Union Crystal Manor, Union City, Ohio.
She was born September 18, 1950 in Celina to the late Herman J. & Henrietta (Schmitmeyer) Hoying.
She is survived by her siblings, Sr. Barbara Ann Hoying CPPS, Connie & Ralph Guggenbiller, Janice Rindler, Mary Therese & David Reilly, Diana & Dennis Siefring, Fred & Martha Hoying, Sue & Stanley Zielinski, Ronald & Teresa Hoying, Richard & Zinnia Hoying, Lois & Robert Hartings, Michael & Pam Hoying, Rev. Mark Hoying CPPS, and Cindy & John Hamberg; a sister-in-law Linda Hoying; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by siblings, Norman Hoying, Kenneth Hoying and Beverly Hoying; and a brother-in-law, Jerome Rindler.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena. Her father's pet name for her was Pinky. Helen enjoyed watching her mom play cards, eating circus peanuts and hot dogs and she always had a ready smile for everyone.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. Aloysius Church, Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday and 9 to 10 am Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
In Lieu of flowers and gifts the family would like memorials made to UCM Residential Services.
