The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Norbert Garman
Norbert "Butch" Garman, age 89 of Chickasaw, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born December 5, 1929 in Egypt, Ohio to the late August & Francis (Voskuhl) Garman. On July 28, 1954 he married Priscilla Hein in St. Sebastian. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2012.
He is survived by children; Steve & Robin Garman, Chickasaw, Deb & Rod Poziwilko, Berrien Center, Michigan, Sue Wehrman, Piqua, Bill & Jean Garman, Maria Stein, Bob & Debbie Garman, St. Henry, Becky & Steven Olberding, Minster, 15 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren, brother, Charles "Doc" Garman, New Bremen, sister Patti Stachler, Philothea, in-laws: Mary Ann Garman, Chickasaw, Irene Hein, Ft. Recovery, Margie Bertke, Celina.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 5 sisters and 4 in-laws. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw.
He was also a veteran of the US Marine Corps and a member of the VFW, Chickasaw, American Legion, Maria Stein. Butch retired after 44 years at Minster Machine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw with Rev. Tom Brenberger celebrant. Burial to follow with full military honors in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 4-8 PM Monday, April 29 and 9-10 Tuesday, April 30.
