The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ileen Rush
Ileen M. Rush, 98, of Saint Marys, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 6, 1921, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Theodore and Lenore (McName) Blumenhorst. She married Roy Rush on August 30, 1939; he preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Dianne Rush of Saint Marys; by 6 grandchildren; by numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her son, Raymond Rush; her daughter, Sharon Potter; her son-in-law, John Potter; by her sister Louise Evans; a brother, Harold "Butch" Blumenhorst.
Ileen was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Saint Marys. She had formerly served as a Gray Lady at the Valley Nursing Home, and volunteered with the Kishler Relief Corps. She enjoyed crocheting and camping.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys. Burial rites will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:30 til 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
