The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Joyce Wente
Joyce E. Wente age 73 of New Bremen, Ohio died Monday, January 11, 2021 at Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio.
She was born on January 31, 1947 in Celina, Ohio to the late Earl & Yvonne (Scheer) Brockman. She married Thomas Wente on September 16, 1967 at Holy Redeemer Church, New Bremen. He survives in New Bremen.
She is also survived by daughters: Christine & Luis Trujillo, Mason, Jennifer & Keith Moeller, Delaware, Kimberly & Joseph Reed, Minster, son-in-law Brian & Gayle Westerheide, Ft. Loramie, 11 grandchildren: Thomas, Nicholas, Benjamin Trujillo, Ethan, Alex, Zachary Westerheide, Grant Moeller, Samuel, Caleb Reed, Sophia, Skylar Albers, sister Nancy & Ned Conradi, New Bremen, in-laws: Marilyn Winner, Osgood, Dennis & Leah Wente, New Bremen, Connie Will, New Bremen, Ted & Ann Wente Lambertville, MI, Bertie Wente, Minster.
She was preceded in death by daughter Michele Westerheide, in-laws: Delores Bentz, Bob Wente, Shirley & Walt Seger, Janice & Dick Ahrns, Dennis Winner, & Mike Will.
Joyce was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen. She was a member of the New Bremen Emergency Squad, and a supporter of many organizations. Joyce also loved spending time with grandchildren, traveling, gardening and her cats. She had a generous spirit and would be there for anyone or anything who needed her, whether it was someone in a nursing home or animals, who had an uncanny ability to show up at her door.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen with Rev. Thomas Dorn and Deacon Greg Bornhorst officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 and from 9 to 10 AM on Saturday. Visitors are asked to wear masks properly at all viewings and ceremonies.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center at OSU, 1145 Olentangy River Rd. Columbus Ohio 43212 and Auglaize County Humane Society 616 N. Dixie Hwy., Wapakoneta, OH 45895.
