The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Larry Coats
Larry J. "Whitey" Coats, 63, of Saint Marys, died 1:35 P.M. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born August 2, 1957, in Saint Marys, the son of Irvin and Barbara (Cowhick) Coats.
He is survived by his siblings: Linda (Richard) Wessell of Saint Marys; Janet (Terry) Crocker of Sebring, Florida; Irvin (Cindy) Coats of Saint Marys. He is also survived by 8 nieces, 5 nephews, 5 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Whitey had worked at Hoge Lumber Company, Auglaize Erie Machine Company and Classic Delight. He enjoyed fishing and shooting.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 21, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial rites will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. All visitors to the funeral home are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandates of the Ohio Department of Health.
