The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories. It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes. Gerald Evers
Gerald H. Evers, age 80, of St. Henry was found deceased on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born June 25, 1940 in Coldwater to the late Sebastian and Alvina (Hoying) Evers.
He is survived by a brother Donald (Verena) Evers of New Bremen; a sister Jeanette (Lavern) Siefring of New Weston and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena and the St. Lawrence men's society of the church. Gerald was a lifelong farmer.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Church. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
