The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Bruce Borgerding
Bruce A. Borgerding, age 53, of Flowery Branch, GA, formerly of New Weston, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
He was born January 28, 1968, to Marilyn (George) Borgerding, and the late Richard Borgerding. His mother survives in New Weston.
Bruce is also survived by his wife Jerena Borgerding of Flowery Branch, GA, and his son, Cory & Taylor Borgerding of Buford, GA, and his grandson Knox. Also surviving are siblings and in-laws, Diane & Jeff Hill of Greenville, Karen & Bill Black of Phoenix, AZ, Tim & Dawn Borgerding of New Weston, Pam Borgerding of Greenville, Chuck & Brenda Borgerding of New Weston, Chris & Kathy Borgerding of St. Henry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Bruce is preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Terry.
Bruce was a graduate of Ansonia High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an electrician by trade and enjoyed gardening and growing all kinds of plants. Bruce was a big fan of football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Pittsburg Steelers. He loved Nascar racing and his dog, Harley. He was a member of Free Chapel Church in Gainsville, GA, and had a personality that lit up a room and filled it with his contagious laughter.
A private family funeral service will be held at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
A public celebration of Bruce's Life will be held on Saturday, August 21, at the Borgerding family home in New Weston.
