The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ellen Dammeyer
Ellen Jane Dammeyer, 93, of rural St. Marys, OH died 7:20 a.m. Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Elmwood of New Bremen.
She was born March 10, 1928 in Hamlin, IN to Arthur and Leah (Sawyer) Marlatt. On June 20, 1953 in New Bremen, OH she married Lyle A. Dammeyer, who died September 8, 2009.
Survivors include: son Michael (Judy) Dammeyer of New Bremen, OH; daughter Melissa (Charlie Tobin) Dammeyer of St. Marys, OH; 3 grandchildren: Lindsay (Andrew) Roiberg, Bryan (Kendra) Dammeyer, Jason (Laura) Dammeyer; 6 great-grandchildren: Elliot Dammeyer, Olivia Dammeyer, Kaitlyn Roiberg, Logan Roiberg, Aubrey Roiberg, Hudson Roiberg.
Preceded in death by: husband Lyle A. Dammeyer; parents Arthur and Leah Marlatt; sister Margo Hoffman; sister Molly Schier.
She was a graduate of Bosse High School in Evansville, IN (Class of 1946). Ellen was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member and Sunday School teacher of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Lima, OH and its mother church in Boston, MA. Her favorite pastimes included golfing, playing cards, bowling and taking cruises. More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday November 29, 2021 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Services will be officiated by Reader Ann Basil. Burial will follow at the German protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Visitation 2 - 5 p.m. on Sunday and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to either Grand Lake Hospice or the church.
