The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dorothy Thomas-Brill
Dorothy (Esmonde) Thomas-Brill, 70, formerly of St. Marys, OH died unexpectedly Friday January 14, 2022 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Pulaski, TN.
She was born February 14, 1951 in Lima, OH to Richard Ivor and Betty Jean (Wilhelmy) Esmonde. On July 2, 1982 Union Co., OH she married Philip Brill, who survives.
Also surviving are: son Dean Thomas of Byhalia, OH; son David (Tina) Thomas of St. Marys, OH; daughter Diana Thomas of Pulaski, TN; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 8 brothers and sisters: Alan (Kim) Esmonde, Richard (Monica) Esmonde, Mary Esmonde, William (Leigh) Esmonde, Timothy Esmonde, Martha Arehart, David Esmonde, Patricia (Dan) Cook; numerous nieces and nephews; father-in-law Fred Brill of Marysville, OH; mother-in-law Mary Virginia Brill of West Liberty, OH.
Preceded in death by her parents.
She attended St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1969). Dorothy was a retired production employee from the AGWAY Pet Food Co. in St. Marys. She and Philip moved to Tennessee in 1994. Her favorite pastimes included crocheting and playing games on her computer and cellphone. She looked forward to her annual trek to St. Marys to visit with family and friends during the Summerfest celebration.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 22, 2022 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.
Visitation 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
