The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Michael Selby
Michael Albert Selby, age 75, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, passed away on March 10, 2022 at his home in St. Marys.
He was born February 19, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the late Oma J. & Mary Louise (Hayes) Selby. On August 18, 1973 he married Barbara (Smallwood) Selby and she survives at the residence in St. Marys.
Mike was a devoted and loving father to his children, Shane Selby, Wapakoneta, Todd Selby, Wapakoneta, Chad (Amy) Selby, Celina and Michel J. (Heather) Selby, Wapakoneta; brothers and sisters, Judy (Charlie) Cooper, St. Marys, Sue (Doug) Zautner, Gilderland, New York and Donna (Vic) Shinabery, St. Marys; six grandchildren, Jamey, Aaron, Xaiver, Deanna, Alyssa and Mya; and many nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Selby; and a sister, Linda Burklo.
Mike was a 1965 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He proudly served his county in the United State Army during the Vietnam era. He went on to retire after 39 years of employment at Good Year Tire Company in St. Marys. Mike enjoyed being outdoors and farming. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial gathering of Michael's life will be held at the Varsity Lanes Bowling Alley in St. Marys on Saturday, April 10, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Michael's honor.
