The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

St. Henry players compete in an early round contest at the Mark Ruschau Classic.

Area volleyball teams along with teams from as far away as Cincinnati and eastern Ohio traveled to New Bremen on Friday for the seventh annual Mark Ruschau Classic.

Celina, Fort Recovery, Minster, defending Division IV state champion New Knoxville, St. Henry and St. Marys were joined by teams from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, defending Division III state champion Liberty-Benton, Old Fort and Wellsville, located north of Steubenville, to play in the last summer tournament before the official start of fall practice on Monday. The championship was won by St. Henry, which defeated Celina in the final.

The 2022 volleyball season gets underway on August 20.
