The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jack Rutledge
Jack Lee Rutledge, 87, of Celina passed away on September 28, 2022 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on August 21, 1935 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Robert Kenneth Rutledge and Doris Elizabeth (Clouse) Rutledge. On June 09, 1956, Jack married the former Phyllis Baumgartner, who survives.
Jack was a graduate of Rockford High School. He worked as an engineer for the railroads, most recently for CSX Railroad. Jack had been a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Rockford. He enjoyed watching harness racing and Ohio State football games.
In addition to his wife, also surviving are two sons, Rick Rutledge and Robert (Tonya) Rutledge; three daughters, Rhonda Jones, Kimberlee Dailey, and Jeanene Guitierrez, all of Rockford, Ohio; one brother, Bill Rutledge of Piqua, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Jane Rutledge of Celina, Ohio, Becky (Gary) Archer, and Rose (Larry) Myers, both of Decatur, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Rutledge; and one son-in-law, Randy Gutierrez.
