The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories. It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes. Jerald A. Bergman
Jerald A. Bergman, age 76, of New Weston, died on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at St. Bernard Church in Burkettsville.
Burial with military honors will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery in Burkettsville. Friends may call from 2:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday, November 25, or from 9:00am - 9:30am on Saturday, November 26, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. A full obituary for Jerald will be published on Tuesday.
