The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Luke Griesdorn
Luke J. "Butch" Griesdorn, age 97, of St. Rose, Ohio, died Monday, June 5, 2023, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
Luke was born February 1, 1926, in St. Rose, to the late Julius & Philomena (Fiely) Griesdorn. He married Kathryn (Koesters) Griesdorn on February 12, 1949, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and she died March 25, 2000.
Luke is survived by three children and their spouses, Thomas Griesdorn of Indian Shore, Florida, Theodore & Joan Griesdorn of Coldwater, and Beverly & David Hutson of Williamsburg, KY. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a brother Mark Griesdorn of Cassella.
Luke was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Griesdorn, siblings and in-laws: Thelma Gross-Barber, William Gross, Harry Barber, Ralph & Mildred Griesdorn, Clete & Marguerite Griesdorn, and Margie Griesdorn.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Luke was a WWII veteran and charter member of the Maria Stein American Legion, and the Chickasaw VFW.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at St. Rose Catholic Church, St. Rose. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 9, and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home - St. Henry.
