The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Daniel Bollenbacher
Daniel L. Bollenbacher, age 75 of Minster, Ohio, died at 2:45 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 7, 1947 in Celina, Ohio to the late Marlin "Jiggs" Bollenbacher and Betty (High) Bollenbacher. His mother survives in Celina. He married Kathleen Scardino on August 5, 1972 in New Jersey and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by a son: Richard Bollenbacher, New Jersey, brothers & sisters: Karen & Rick LaFave, Idaho, Charles & Pam Bollenbacher, Rockford, David & Irene, St. Henry, in laws: MaryLou Gamatko, Winifred & James Gamatko, both of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his father, in-laws: Raymond & Winifred (Burke) Scardino, Joan & Ben Phillips, Raymond & Eileen Scardino, Michael Scardino, John Scardino.
Dan was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion. He worked at Princeton University in the Plasma Physics Lab. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM on Friday September 22, 2023 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home Minster.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday and from 10 to 11AM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
