The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Edna Hoying
Edna B. Hoying, age 95 of Celina, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at The Gardens of Celina.
She was the daughter of Henry G. and Mary M. (Hein) Kremer, born on May 16, 1928 in Celina. On June 6, 1953, she married Donald L. Hoying, who passed away on October 15, 2020.
She is survived by her children Susan A. (Keith) Homan, Jane M. (Guy) Hilleary, Joseph H. (Deborah) Hoying, Michael L. (Guadalupe) Hoying all of Celina, Richard L. Hoying of Fort Wayne, IN, Donn L. Hoying of Celina, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Marcille (Charles) Hoying of Minster, and two sisters-in-law Janet Hoying and Rita Hoying both of Minster.
In addition to her father and mother, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law Ronda Hoying, grandson Andrew J. Hoying, and brothers and sister-in-law Walter H. Kremer and Norman J. (Vivian) Kremer.
Edna graduated from the Immaculate Conception Catholic High School in Celina, with the class of 1946. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. Edna enjoyed working alongside her husband in the family business. She enjoyed life working in her home and garden. She was an avid book reader and solving crossword puzzles and building jig saw puzzles. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her children and their families, along with attending functions involving her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. John Tonkin officiating and Co-Celebrant Fr. David Hoying. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 and on Thursday morning from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. before services at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home.
