The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marcia Boerger
Marcia Helen (Connaughton) Boerger, age 86, of Church Street in Fort Loramie, Ohio, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her residence Wednesday evening, February 26, 2025.
She was born May 11, 1938, to the late John & Vivian (Vanderhorst) Connaughton. On November 27, 1958, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, Marcia married James R. Boerger who preceded her in death on March 31, 2004.
Surviving are six children: Lynn "Cathy" & Mark Koverman of Fort Loramie, Timothy & Christine (Monnier) Boerger of Fort Loramie, Nicholas & Lisa (Hilgefort) Boerger of Fort Loramie, Sue & Frank Fuss of St. Pete Beach, FL, Jean & Ronald Spitzer of Morrison, TN, and Michael Boerger of Fort Loramie; 15 Grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ellen (Thompson) Connaughton of Naples, FL, and Rita Boerger of Leesburg, FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Connaughton, William & Reva (Dowlar) Connaughten and several brothers & sisters-in-law: Urban & Ruth Boerger, Virginia & Robert Prueter, Albert "Bud" & Jane Boerger, Eileen & Fred Wagner, Veronica Unverferth, Patricia & Ronald Pulfer, Jane & Robert Yeazel and Harold Boerger.
Marcia was a 1956 graduate of Minster High School and had been a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Fort Loramie American Legion Auxiliary, the Minster Eagles Auxiliary and White Oak Lake Corporation. Marcia loved building jigsaw puzzles, painting, playing cards and especially, spending time with her family. She will also be remembered as a devoted caregiver.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Andrew Reckers presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad or Wilson Health Hospice.
