The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marcus Hettesheimer
Marcus James Hettesheimer, Sr., age 88, of Celina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
He was born on August 6, 1937, in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, to the late Amos and Selma (Thomas) Hettesheimer. On January 24, 1959, he married Hannelor "Lore" (Bendig) Hettesheimer, who survives at their residence in Celina.
Marcus is also survived by his children: Irene (Brent Strohl) Shaffer of Celina, Nancy (Mark) Waesch of Celina, Marc Hettesheimer Jr. of Delphos, Edmund (Leisa) Hettesheimer of Celina, and Terry (Lee) Engelman of Pennsylvania. He was a proud grandfather of five grandchildren and great-grandfather of eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ruth Ann Toler; four brothers, Howard, Weldon, Paul, and David Hettesheimer; and one sister, Elizabeth Hillard.
A 1955 graduate of Larksville High School in Larksville, Pennsylvania, Marcus served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. While stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life, Lore. Marcus was a dedicated truck driver by trade, beginning his career with Mersman Tables in Celina and continuing in the profession throughout his life. He was also a proud member of the Rockford Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1292 and the Celina VFW Post #5713.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, also at Cisco Funeral Home, with Pastor David Hettesheimer, Marcus's nephew, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina, with military honors provided by the Celina VFW Post #5713 and the Celina American Legion Post #210.
