The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Delores Weadock
Delores "Dee" Weadock, 78, of Saint Marys, died suddenly at 1:52 A.M. Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima.
She was born August 7, 1947, in New Bremen, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Naomi (King) Cummins. She married Neal Weadock on May 21, 1966, in New Knoxville, and he survives in Saint Marys.
She is also survived by her three sons: Jeff (Michelle) Weadock of Naples, Florida; Todd (Kimberly) Weadock of Findlay; Gregg Weadock of Naples. She is survived by her grandchildren: Andrew, Chelsea, Allison and Erica Weadock; Alicia (John) Chaney; Sydney (Jacob) O'Neill; Whitney (Justin) Silver. She is survived by a great-grandson, Miles Chaney and by her brother, Walter Cummins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Naomi Cummins and by her step-father, Harry Wierwille.
Dee was a 1965 graduate of New Bremen High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of New Knoxville. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed southern gospel music. She enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines. She also loved collecting Precious Moments figurines, dolls and Vera Bradley bags. Everyone who knows Dee knows that she loved Home City Ice.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Joel Bucklin, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
