The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Flory, Jr.
Richard K. Flory Jr., age 89, of Celina, Ohio and formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born November 9, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Richard K. Flory, Sr. and Helen E. (Richards) Flory.
Richard attended Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio and then, entered a five-year apprenticeship, in printing, at McCall Printing Company of Dayton where he worked for twenty-five years. He also worked for several other printing establishments during his career in the graphic arts, including Standard Register Co., Dayton Typographical Service, both of Dayton, and Reynolds & Reynolds of Celina.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard K. Flory, III of Dayton and son-in-law, Don Snyder of Tipp City.
He is survived by his wife Madelon (Goudy) Flory; daughter Deborah Snyder; two grandchildren Emily (Colin) Frake and Logan Snyder.
The Flory family wishes to thank the dedicated I.C.U. team at the Mercer County Community Hospital and EverHeart Hospice for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Eric Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the Trissell Cemetery in New Lebanon, Ohio.
A visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County, P.O. Box 624, Celina, Ohio 45822.
