2026 All-Western Buckeye League Softball Honors

Van De Keere, Williams earn top league accolades

St. Marys' Adyson Van De Keere was named the WBL Softball Player of the Year.

St. Marys senior pitcher Adyson Van De Keere was named the Player of the Year by the Western Buckeye League softball coaches as the league released its postseason honors on Monday.

Van De Keere, who will pitch next season for the University of Northwestern Ohio, went 12-8 this season with a 2.18 earned run average as the Roughriders reached the Division IV district semifinals. In 118⅔ innings, Van De Keere struck out 184 batters and walked just 25. At the plate, Van De Keere batted .424 with 25 runs batted in.

Celina coach Renee Williams received her second straight WBL Coach of the Year honor in guiding the Bulldogs to a second straight undefeated league season and finishing 21-3 in the Division III district finals.

Celina's Campbelle Gass and Lilly Gonzalez joined Van De Keere on the first team. Celina's Maddie Allen and Paiton Rhodes were joined by St. Marys' Ava Klosterman on the second team while St. Marys' Ayden Young and Celina's Alexis Siefring were named to the third team.

Honorable mention honors went to Celina's Hayley Germann and St. Marys' Kailey Smith.
