The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories. It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes. St. Henry defeats Celina for chance to defend state title

COLDWATER - It is hard to repeat in any sport, and it takes a lot to go right to even get the chance.
But St. Henry earned that chance Tuesday night, as the Redskins used a seven-run second inning to take down Celina 8-0 and win the ACME district 4 title. It gives the team a chance to defend last year's state crown in Kalida on July 18 at Holy Name Ballpark. [More]
ROCKFORD - Village councilors may look into possibly adopting legislation to regulate the use of electric micro-mobility devices by minors due to safety concerns.
MINSTER - With an eye on adding disc golf to a long list of sports activities at Four Seasons Park, councilors approved a resolution Tuesday night authorizing administrator Don Harrod to submit a Nature Works Grant application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
NEW KNOXVILLE - Mark Platfoot, who currently serves as grade 4-12 principal at New Knoxville Local School, has been named the district's new superintendent. Platfoot will succeed the retiring Kim Waterman.
