The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Gary Wagner
Gary Lee Wagner, 57, of Celina, OH died unexpectedly Sunday July 5, 2026 at his residence. He was born July 23, 2026 in St. Marys, OH to Donald L. and Roberta A. (Huber) Wagner.
Survivors include: son Marcus Wagner of Sidney, OH; son Vincent Wagner of St. Marys, OH; grandchildren: Bexley Wagner, Ni'Klaus Wagner, Korbyn Wagner, and another expected in August 2026; mother Roberta Wagner of St. Marys, OH; sister Corinna Wagner of Columbus, OH; sister Mary Arce of Celina, OH; sister Tammy Arnold of St. Marys, OH; brother Elmer (Linda) Wagner of Celina, OH; sister Ann (Ed) Mueller of Celina, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: father Donald Wagner; half-sister Vicki Golden; sister-in-law Kathy Vanover-Wagner.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1987). A machinist by trade, he worked at CAPT in Celina for many years. His favorite pastimes included fishing, working on mechanical items and watching any type of sporting event.
Gary will be remembered for his big heart and many acts of kindness to others.
Private family services will be held.
