The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Marie Drees
Marie A. Drees, 84, Sidney, died Aug. 3, 2006, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney.
She was born Nov. 3, 1921, in McCartyville, to August and Elizabeth Bruns. On Aug. 30, 1947, she married Carl W. Drees, who died March 11, 1991.
Survivors are four sons, Michael (Evangeline) and Tony (Nancy), all of Sidney, James, Wapakoneta, and Carl (Amy), Defiance; two daughters, Mary (Daniel) Christner, San Andreas, Calif., and Kathy (Ken) Thieman, Minster; a sister-in-law, Rita Kendall, Sidney; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, David; a brother and seven sisters.
She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, its ladies rosary altar sodality, card club, American Legion Post 387 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, all of Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial is at Sacred Heart Cemetery, McCartyville.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Saturday at N.J. Hogenkamp Sons Inc., Minster, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
