The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Roy Thornhill
Roy J. Thornhill, 72, of Rossburg, died Dec. 23, 2006, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.
He was born June 13, 1934, in Darke County, to George Cleadis and Gladys Aileen (Hoblit) Thornhill. His first wife, Carol, died April 6, 1991. He married Norma J. Shearer, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jeffrey A. (Marie), Columbus, Scott L. (Julia), Euclid, and Darrell R. (Emily), Rossburg; a daughter, Rhonda (Cliff) Setser, Lightsville; a stepdaughter, Jacquelyn (Eric) Miles, North Star; a sister, Ruth Lane, Tinley Park, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was a farmer, a custom sheep shearer and musician. He attended Bible Fellowship Church, Greenville, and was a member of the Darke County Farm Bureau, Darke County Steam Threshers and the Tri-State Gas Engine Club.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial is at Greenville Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
