The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Frances Watercutter
Frances M. Watercutter, 78, 13478 Bornhorst Road, McCartyville, died at 4:45 a.m. on Aug. 31, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Sharpsburg to Ignatius and Sarah White Esser. On May 3, 1947, she married Norbert W. Watercutter, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dan (Nita), Sidney, Bill (Jackie), Piqua, and Jerry (Diane), McCartyville; three daughters, Judy (David) Boerger, Fort Wayne, Ind., Pat (Steve) Germond, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Deb (Ron) Maloon, Jackson Center; a brother, Fred (Rosie) Esser, McCartyville; three sisters, Ruth Wellman, Celina, Delores (Clete) Eilerman, Columbus, and Agnes (Melvin) Luthman, Kettlersville; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Decease are two brothers and a sister.
She was a housewife and dairy farmer. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, McCartyville, and its Rosary & Altar Sodality. She was a past president of the Ladies Sodality and was a CCD teacher and First Communion preparer for 16 years. She was a housekeeper and church sacristan for many years, a lay distributor and charter member of the Mission Commission.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Patrick Welsh and Craig Eilerman officiating. Burial is at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
