The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dennis Baker
Dennis R. "Bob" Baker, 61, of Chattanooga, died at 4:30 p.m. March 4, 2008, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born June 30, 1946, in Mercer County to Ernest "Curly" and Inez Miller Baker. His mother survives in Celina. On Feb. 15, 1969, he married Barbara Kline, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Brian, Rockford; two daughters, Beth (Dennis) Seip, Decatur, Ind., and Betsy (Patrick) Johnson, Willshire; a brother, Gene Baker, Rockford; two sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Boise, Montpelier, Ind., and Nancy Bates, Celina; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers-in-law, Glen "Chewy" Boise and Don Bates.
He worked at Micro Precision/Textron, Berne, Ind., for 39 years, at Mercer Landmark, Celina, and farmed. He was a life member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, where he served as a deacon, elder and youth director. He was a member of the Willshire Sportsman Club and was a trustee of Liberty Township Zoning Committee in Mercer County.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
